Tile & Slate Roofing across the South East

Tiles and slates are what most homes across the South East are roofed in, from Victorian slate terraces to interwar clay-tiled semis. Each needs fixing the right way to stay on through the winter.

We fit new tile and slate roofs and repair existing ones, including ridges, hips, valleys and the lead work that seals them.

Common problems

What usually goes wrong

Slipped slates

Slate nails rust through with age and the slates slide out one at a time.

The fixRefixed properly so the roof holds again.

Loose ridge tiles

When the mortar under the ridge fails, the wind can lift ridge tiles off.

The fixRebedded or refixed so the ridge is secure.

Leaks at the valley

Valleys carry the most water on the roof and old lead or mortar fails there first.

The fixValleys and flashings renewed.
